This is the best place in Italy, I come here every year, I have stayed in mango other B&Bs in the area.
It was the best value, so I took it. I couldn’t believe when I got there that I was in the center of this most amazing part of Gaeta.
Authentic Italy, fish sellers fruit sellers weighing everything on old hand scales, when came out of the apartment I could smell the fresh pastries being baked just down the street, you don’t have to go in they sell them to you out of the window €1.50
Then 2 doors down you can get a cappuccino in the same manner or you can sit in for €1.20 ..
There is everything thing you need in this alcove I can only tell you this is Italy peeled back.
Forget about Rome and Venice. This place is a fraction of the costs of the big cities. Watching Children playing, women hanging out their laundry, amazing restaurants.
The owners of the apartment Sorabella’s lovely chatty people helping me with information and drowning me with kindness.
My apartment was so clean and new, outside terrace was just for me eating my breakfast looking down the street below watching people buying and selling.
Then behind me a spiral staircase to bring me on the roof 4 stories up sun loungers table and chairs led lighting ‘I could stay here forever’ the panorama looking over the bay of Gaeta was amazing.
I have to say I’m coming to Italy over 30years now and this was my best experience yet.
If you get talking to the owners or workers in Sorabella’s they will point you in the direction that you need to go in. Absolutely amazing ❤️💯.
I can’t wait to get back here oh and it never seems to rain ere hot and sunny till the start of November 22- 24 degrees. A real hidden Gem.
